Solar Camping Lantern with Hand Crank and USB Charging

A camping lantern with more than one way to get power.

The built-in battery can be charged from sunlight, through Type-C, or by turning the hand crank. There is also a solar panel on the top, so the lamp can be left outside during the day when mains power is not available.

For outdoor use, the idea is fairly simple: keep the light charged when you can, and have another option when you cannot.

One Lamp, Several Uses

There are two light sources on the unit.

The COB light works as the main camping light. The second LED can be used as a handheld directional light when a narrower beam is needed.

Maximum brightness is listed at 350 lumens. The camping light covers around 6 square meters, while the portable light can reach up to about 50 meters.

It can be used on a table, carried by hand, or kept in a tent.

The solar panel is rated at 5W + 1W. Under normal sunlight, the listed solar charging time is around 5-9 hours.

The hand crank is mainly useful as an emergency backup. It is not meant to replace regular charging.

For retailers, having three charging methods also gives the product a different selling point from a standard battery camping lamp.

For Camping, Travel and Emergency Kits

Camping is the obvious use.

Leave it on a camping table, take it into the tent, or use the directional light when walking around after dark.

It also makes sense for emergency kits. If the power is out and the battery has run down, the hand crank gives the user another way to get some power into the unit.

The USB function can also be used for charging small devices.

Other possible uses include night fishing, hiking, road trips and keeping a spare light in a car.

Size and Packing

The lamp is about 20 x 9 x 9 cm and weighs around 330g.

It comes in a color box, with a standard carton packing of 60 pcs. The carton size is approximately 50.5 x 40.5 x 48.5 cm and gross weight is around 20 kg.

For importers, this is still a fairly manageable size for a camping light product. Packaging can also be discussed if the item is going into a retail range.
