Air it out after every trip. Hang or lay flat to restore loft and evaporate moisture.
Use a sleeping bag liner and wear clean base layers to minimize dirt and oil buildup.
Spot clean small stains promptly with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Avoid compression when possible to preserve insulation.
Washing Your Sleeping Bag
Spot clean whenever possible. For thorough cleaning:
Use a front-loading washing machine on a gentle/cold cycle with a technical cleaner suitable for down or synthetic insulation.
Add an extra rinse cycle to remove all soap residue.
Tumble dry on low heat with clean tennis balls to help restore loft, or air dry flat. This may take several hours.
Once dry, shake thoroughly to fluff the insulation.
Other Notes: Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or high heat. Avoid dry cleaning. Never store the bag while damp.
Cleaning Zippers
Wipe zippers with a damp cloth. Lubricate them occasionally with zipper lubricant for smooth operation.
Storage
Clean the bag and ensure it is completely dry.
Store loosely in a large breathable mesh sack or hung up. Avoid long-term storage in the compression sack.
Keep in a cool, dry, dark location away from direct sunlight.
Repairs
Small tears can be patched with repair tape such as Tenacious Tape. For larger repairs or issues with zippers/insulation, contact REMOTIONER customer service.
