Tips for Taking Care of Your Camping Chair
Shake out debris regularly. After each use, unfold the chair and gently shake or brush off dirt, sand, crumbs, and leaves-especially from seams, mesh pockets, and the carry bag. This prevents buildup that can lead to stains or abrasion.
Keep it clean during trips. Wipe down the seat and frame with a damp cloth after use. Avoid sitting in dirty clothes if possible, and spot-clean spills immediately to make deep cleaning less frequent.
Spot clean when possible, wash when needed. The chair's lightweight fabric and mesh are durable but benefit from minimal harsh cleaning. For light dirt, use a soft cloth or brush with mild soap. Only do a full clean when the chair looks grimy or after exposure to heavy mud, sand, or spills.
Dry thoroughly before packing. Never store or pack the chair while damp-moisture can lead to mildew, odors, or frame corrosion.
Washing Your Camping Chair
For light dirt or sand, simply wipe the fabric and mesh with a damp cloth or hose it down gently.
For deeper cleaning (mud, grease, or heavy use):
Unfold the chair completely and brush off loose debris with a soft-bristled brush.
Mix a mild detergent (or non-detergent technical fabric cleaner) with warm water. Use a soft brush or sponge to gently scrub the fabric and mesh panels. Pay attention to seams, pockets, and the underside.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water (a garden hose works well) to remove all soap residue, which can attract more dirt.
Wipe the metal frame with a damp cloth and mild soap solution. For any rust spots, use a vinegar-water mix or baking soda paste, then rinse and dry immediately.
Air dry completely in a well-ventilated area, preferably in shade or indirect sunlight. Open the chair fully until bone-dry (including joints and mesh) before folding. This may take several hours.
Other Notes: Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, or high-pressure washers, which can damage fabric coatings or strip the frame's finish. Do not machine wash the chair. Test cleaners on a small hidden area first.
Cleaning the Frame and Joints

Lubricate moving parts occasionally with silicone spray (avoid excess that could stain fabric) for smooth folding.

Chair Repairs
Small tears in the fabric or mesh can be repaired with strong fabric repair tape (such as Tenacious Tape) or a sewing kit for patches. Clean the area first, then apply the patch firmly.
For frame issues (loose joints, bent legs, or major damage), tighten screws where possible or consult a professional. Lubrication often resolves stiff folding.
