High outside the tent or outside the canopy (such as the canopy pole): The main lamp should be a high-brightness, wide-range lighting lamp (lumen value ≥ 1000LM), and hung in the center of the camp to cover the maximum range. For example, when using LED chandeliers or gas tank lamps, ensure that the lamps are stable and waterproof.
Center of the tent: If you use a lamp that can emit light 360 degrees (such as a cylindrical LED lamp), you can hang it in the center of the tent to evenly illuminate the interior space.
Ambient light or auxiliary light hanging position
Corners in the tent or near the sleeping bag: Low-brightness lamps (lumen value 300-700LM) are suitable for placing in the corners of the tent or next to the sleeping bag, and adjust the angle toward the activity area to reduce light interference.
Inside the canopy or at the entrance of the tent: String lights or retro lanterns can be hung on the edge of the canopy or at the entrance of the tent to create a warm atmosphere and indicate the entrance to the camp.
Adjustments in special scenarios
Multi-person camping: When a team of more than 4 people or using a tunnel tent, it is recommended to use a combination of 2 main lights + 2 auxiliary lights, or surround the inner tent with light strips to enhance lighting uniformity.
Waterproof and stability: Choose lamps with magnetic hooks or strong tape to ensure that they are still stable in windy and rainy weather.
